Yo,
I'm a dude who's like 23ish. I like science enough to do graduate school in it. The graduate school hurt that! Teaching is now helping that again, yay. So I'm currently in graduate school for education in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math), with a focus on gender and LGBT issues in the classroom!
Other than that, I like movies and TV probably too much, I could probably talk at you until the cows come home. I also tend to like music of many varieties and stufffff. I generally like talking to people and stuff, so you can ask for my skype or aim! (Yes I use aim still don't rag on me).
So ya hi, yep.

Hiya ^.^/ and welcome
I've never actually heard of anyone focusing in gender and LGBT issues in the classroom, how does that work essentially?; like what kind of classes do you take? (if you don't mind me asking...)

It's mainly geared towards making lessons non gender biased, I guess. Mostly my kinda thoughts towards it is getting lessons and classroom feelings to a point where no one really gives a shit about like the gender or orientation of the others there, and trying to make some sort of curriculum that can facilitate that. There's a lot of politically correctness in modern texts and classrooms in North America and it's to a point where it can be obvious a book is trying to be inclusive, which is fine, but it can lead to some unwanted spotlighting effects.
Now, really I mostly just study science materials and subjects being taught to high school students and note effective teaching methods and stuff and then tackle gender/lgbt issues.
Right now, I'm taking a couple masters level classes based on educational psych, special education and inclusion, intermediate/senior generalscience/chemistry teaching, LGBT2Q issues in the classroom, and STEM Education in the classroom. Plus I do some research into gender bias in classrooms, which is surprisingly minimal, but I'm also in one of the more populous areas of Canada.
